According to Silicon Angle and Alley Watch, Kumospace, a provider of video chat, has secured $3 million in seed funding led by Boldstart Ventures.
The financing included participation from Lightspeed's Scout Fund and the GP of ENIAC Ventures; as well as high profile angels such as Aleksandr Yampolskiy, Founder at Security Scorecard; Maia Josebachevilli, Head of M&A at Stripe; and Matt Adkisson, founder of Bright.com, among others.
Kumospace's spatial audio enables multiple simultaneous conversations in the same space, and makes connecting online feel as natural as connecting offline. Guests in Kumospace move across virtual rooms to chat with friends. Just like in the physical world, the environment suggests behavior, whether it's casual chatter in a cozy lounge, a professional discussion in a boardroom, or a presentation given from a stage.
