Developer of social mobile games recently landed a $1.1 million seed round led by Justin Bieber.
According to Fortune Magazine, Justin Bieber recently led a $1.1 million seed round for RockLive. Additional investors include venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar, boxer Floyd Mayweather and angel investor Tom McInerney.
RockLive is a venture-funded social network headquartered in San Francisco, CA. RockLive recently partnered with teen-star, Justin Bieber and boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather to create a social platform for teenagers. The platform is called Shots of Me and will be available for iOS devices in November 2013. The company behind RockLive was originally founded in 2009 by John Shahidi and Sam Shahidi, and was called Rock Software. At the time, the company developed mobile games in partnership with athletes, including Mike Tyson, Cristiano Ronaldo and Usain Bolt. The games featured innovative gameplay, but also strong social features, including the ability to share scores and send private messages.
