MindMixer, an engagement technology company enabling government organizations and people to work together toward creating better communities, today announced the closing of a $17M Series C investment round, bringing its raise to-date to $23.2 million.
MindMixer works with most major cities in the United States, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Indianapolis, San Francisco, Omaha and Kansas City. Across all its clients' projects and topics, 1.6 million participants have generated 100,000 new ideas for their communities.
'We've grown and evolved rapidly over the last four years, but this fundraise will help us scale even faster to meet demand and add focus on new projects,' said MindMixer CEO Nick Bowden. 'The time is right for us to deepen the industry's understanding of our point of view and we're looking forward to adding new team members to support that effort.'
MindMixer recently merged two of its Silicon Prairie offices in Omaha and Lincoln, Neb., into its third in Kansas City, Mo., with plans to increase its team by 150 percent by the end of 2014.
This latest round of funding was led by Dundee Venture Capital, and included the Govtech Fund and other participants.
