2013-07-17
SANTA FE, NM, Seamless Medical Systems received a fifty thousand dollar grant from the Venture Acceleration Fund (VAF) of Los Alamos National Security.
Seamless Medical Systems received a fifty thousand dollar grant for market acceleration of its flagship product, the SNAP Practice Patient Engagement Platform. The company was one of nine New Mexican businesses given an award from the Venture Acceleration Fund (VAF) of Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS), the company that manages and operates Los Alamos National Laboratory for the National Nuclear Security Administration.

Established in 2006, the Venture Acceleration Fund invests in technology commercialization, facilitating businesses in going to market, spurring economic growth in the state. In order to receive funding, Seamless Medical Systems demonstrated its ability to meet a compelling market need, a strategic value and economic potential that can further develop the New Mexico high-tech economy, as well as the commercial potential to stimulate interest by investors.

'We are excited about adding Seamless Medical to our family of venture acceleration fund investments. Their unique platform for patient intake, top-notch team and growth potential make them a compelling addition to our portfolio,' said Belinda Snyder, of Los Alamos National Laboratory's Technology Transfer Division.
Seamless Medical Systems will devote the funds to further product development and market penetration of SNAP Practice, a medical practice workflow automation and engagement platform.

'The VAF award is a validation of the progress our company has made and a vote of confidence about our future potential,' said founder and CEO David Perez.
