MILPITA, CA, AREVO has recently closed most of a $25 million round of financing led by Khosla Ventures.
AREVO, an advanced manufacturing technology company, today announced the completion of the world's largest continuous carbon fiber composite additive manufacturing facility. The center hosts a range of production systems, including 70 shipping container-sized Aqua 2 systems, the world's first high speed additive manufacturing system for continuous carbon fiber composite structures, and a growing variety of post-processing capabilities. This enables rapid, on-demand production at scale. The systems have been producing bicycle frames, sports equipment, automotive parts, aerospace parts, and architectural structures; the company looks forward to welcoming new applications.
Arevo also recently closed most of a $25M VC round of financing led by Khosla Ventures with new participation from Founders Fund. Other investors include GGVC, Alabaster and Defy. This will bring the company's total funding to $85 million.
Arevo is a technology company that automates the design and fabrication of large, geometrically complex, continuous CFRP composite products through a suite of innovations in materials science, robotics and design software. Customers include companies from consumer, industrial, automotive, heavy industries, construction and aerospace sectors.
