BOSTON, MA, App that lets college students find parties and meet new people, has raised $1.5 million.
According to BBJ, Wigo, a Boston-based app that lets college students find parties and meet new people, has raised $1.5 million in venture funding. The round was led by Great Oaks Venture Capital with participation from Greylock Partners, GGV Capital, Blade Ventures, KEC Ventures, as well as angel investors.
Wigo is the 'who's going out' app for college students. Wigo helps students quickly figure out who's going out and where. Group texts and Facebook events are lame ways to make plans. Wigo's student-only filter blocks all townies, adults and other randos.
