According to TechCrunch, DipJar has raised a $420,000 seed round led by Project 11, the new fund from Bob Mason, Katie Rae and Reed Sturtevant. Other angels in the round include Will Herman, Warren Katz, Joe Caruso, Mike Dornbrook, Bill Warner, Scott Heller, and others.
Retailers talk with us to receive a DipJar. Once it's in hand, they simply register it through this website (including telling us who's working at the store and a bit of information about the location). Then they simply plug the DipJar into a power outlet and they can start accepting tips. Once the DipJar is on the countertop, customers can start dipping their cards - our system does the rest.
