Itaconix Corp., which makes environmentally-friendly polymers derived from renewable resources for use in detergents and diapers, has received $1.15 million in equity funding, according to federal documents. Two separate investors participated in the offering.
Itaconix is a green technology company developing, manufacturing and marketing environmentally friendly polymers derived from renewable resources. Its primary product line is derived from polymers of itaconic acid.
The firm previously received a $1.8 million grant through the Joint Biomass Research and Development Initiative of the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Department of Agriculture.
