According to published reports, Placed, a startup with an app that tracks the businesses consumers visit, has raised a $10 million series B round of venture capital from Two Sigma Ventures, with participation from previous investor Madrona Venture Group.

Placed is Location Analytics. By measuring, aggregating and analyzing the paths and places people visit in the real world, Placed is creating a new class of business insights for app developers with Placed for Developers. Placed for Developers enables app developers to understand where in the physical world users are interacting with their app. Founded in 2011, Placed is headquartered in Seattle and was founded by David Shim, who has previously held product and leadership roles at Quantcast, WebTrends, Farecast, and aQuantive.
