CAMBRIDGE, MA, Abine, Inc., The Online Privacy Company, announced the closing of a $5m Series A round of funding to extend its leadership in online privacy.

Atlas Venture & General Catalyst are co-leading Abine's Series A financing. "We are delighted to have two experienced venture investors backing us who understand how to help build great consumer brands like Kayak.com and SiteAdvisor," said Kerrigan who drove the SiteAdvisor acquisition during his tenure as the global EVP of McAfee's consumer business.
