SAN DIEGO, CA, 3D Robotics has secured a third round of venture financing, a $50 million dollar Series C injection spearheaded by Qualcomm.
3D Robotic secured a third round of venture financing, a $50 million dollar Series C injection spearheaded by Qualcomm, global leader in 3G and next-generation mobile technologies.

3D Robotics designs and manufactures electronics and aerial vehicles, including multicopters and airplanes. It created the open source APM autopilot line, along with the APM:Copter and APM:Plane UAVs (formerly ArduCopter and ArduPlane). It is the commercial sponsor of the DIY Drones community and the exclusive manufacturing partner of the Pixhawk UAV research team at the renowned Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH).
