According to published reports, Easy Taxi, an app for calling up taxicabs, is today announcing a $15 million round of investment from Latin America Internet Holding (LIH). LIH is Rocket Internet's holding company in the region, and it is part-owned by Millicom.

Founded in June 2011, the Easy Taxi is the pioneer in call taxi service in Latin America. During this period, the Company has received the best awards granted to start-ups, including: Startup Weekend RIO 2011, IBM SmartCamp Brazil 2011 Startup Farm RIO 2011 and TNW Brazil Awards - Best Mobile App.
